*The five warmest years since records began being kept in 1880 all occurred since 2010 according to NASA. According to NASA, global average temperatures were 1.62 degrees warmer than the mean temperature from 1951 to 1980. There are fluctuations that occur, including variations in the sun, ocean changes such as El Nino and volcanic events, but the trends are unmistakable.

There is some question whether President Trump believes climate change is real. He did pull out of the Paris Climate Accords. However, one can argue that he did so in the belief that the Chinese, because their carbon emissions are not scheduled to peak until 2030, were burdening U.S. businesses with unnecessary costs that reduce their competitiveness.
